Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role with the BGE Investment Management team provides a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and work with large datasets and financial modeling to gain an understanding of the link between the company's strategic vision, operational execution and financial results to develop leadership skills as you partner with and influence peers and leaders across all areas of BGE and to create a strong brand based on your technical background, communication skills and supported by frequent interactions and presentations to executive leadership.
In this role you will :
- Contribute to BGE achieving its internal financial and operational targets as well as support strategy to align capital spend to corporate and regulatory goals and guidelines.
- Support the BGE Long Range Plan (LRP) and Latest Estimate (LE) cycles
- Analyze data trends by leveraging current and new technology (e.g. PowerBI) and develop reporting to communicate to and advise Executive Leadership on portfolio results and performance
- Facilitate conversations with business partners regarding work plan risks and opportunities
- Think innovatively and use data to help drive strategic decision making for BGE's capital portfolio
- Support ad hoc requests
- Perform general analysis and prepare reports to support business operations.
- Conduct modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development, and other general financial and operational analysis. - Monitor and coordinate activities to support operational performance management (e.g., safety, reliability, service level, productivity, etc.). - Research and provide statistical financial and operational information. Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operation's business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and organize performance reports for both internal and external use.
- Contribute to the development of short-term and long-range business planning.
- Provide analytical and operational support to the business unit.
Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
