Job descriptionAbility to recognize, communicate and / or resolve irrigation repair and maintenance challenges. Ability to operate, repair and maintain irrigation system, pump station, irrigation computer system. Ability to safely operate golf course equipment. Knowledge of the methods, techniques, tools, and equipment used in golf course irrigation repair and maintenance. Ability to work alone with limited supervision, follow instructions and be detail-oriented. High School Diploma or equivalent certificate preferred but not required. Five years of experience in golf course maintenance. Valid Arizona Drivers License. Outdoor weather conditions. Shops are not cooled in summer or heated in winter. Machinery and equipment may contain dirt, oil or grease.
Purpose and Scope :
This position assists the Superintendent in providing high quality golf courses and total guest satisfaction through proper maintenance and repair of the course irrigation systems.
Essential Functions :
- Repair and maintain irrigation systems.
- Perform golf course maintenance activities utilizing proper methods.
- Install irrigation system additions and modifications.
- Attend monthly and weekly staff meetings (including all training and safety meetings).
- Clean maintenance area and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Physical Requirements :
Constant standing, near and far vision required. Frequent walking, bending, reaching and grasping. Frequent pushing, pulling and lifting in excess of 50 pounds.
