Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Serve as the point of contact and client interface for project technology related issues. - Manage project expectations, evaluate project needs, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure that program needs are met with respect to urgency and priority. - Review all project deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy meet project, stakeholder, and contractual standards. - Execute all project management functions; including work breakdown, monitoring and tracking of technical progress against the defined timetables, budgets, staff assignments and developments. - Lead and direct the successful delivery of services while ensuring that assigned projects adhere to the approved life cycle work patterns, standards, and procedures for solution delivery. - Provide detailed direction during various stages of the lifecycle to include requirements analysis, testing and potentially programming support. - Identify, track, manage, and communicate risks and issues with stakeholders and upper management. - Assure the project is in compliance with company standards and procedures. Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and coach Agile teams: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote effective team collaboration and continuous improvement. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners, technical leads, QA, business operations, shared services, and client-facing teams to align priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines. - Tracking and Reporting: Provide project and team performance metrics including status, risks, issues, dependencies, blockers, velocity, burnup/burndown, milestones, and decisions clearly to leadership and stakeholders. - Impediment Removal: Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. - Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Progress Monitoring: Track and report on team performance metrics ensuring transparency and accountability. - Agile Advocacy: Promote Agile values and principles within the organization, driving adoption and adherence to Agile methodologies. - Continuous Improvement: Encourage and facilitate process improvements to enhance team efficiency and product quality. Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree in related field. - 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required. Job-Specific Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. - 5+ years of project management, Scrum Master, or Agile delivery experience. - 3+ years facilitating Scrum ceremonies for software development or IT delivery teams. - Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or Agile teams. - Experience in creating project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and executive-level updates. - Experience working with technical teams, business stakeholders, QA, systems analysts, and production support teams. - Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar platforms. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
