Job Summary : The Senior Data Engineer will help with developing and supporting our analytics infrastructure and reporting processes to meet the information needs of Tecomet. This is a key position that ensures our data is precise, available, and actionable, empowering the organization to make informed decisions quickly. The Senior Data Engineer will need to proficiently employ the skills required for both development and analysis to effectively implement a range of business intelligence strategies and tools. The Senior Data Engineer possess advanced technical knowledge, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to support Business Intelligence requirements throughout the entire data ecosystem. This role will have responsibilities ranging from business Intelligence project planning and strategy, configuring source connections and APIs, overseeing data warehouse requirements, manipulating data using SQL queries and ETL tools, creating standardized Power BI data models and datasets, and providing end-user support. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ERP systems and other business-critical data sources to ensure seamless data integration, transformation, and availability for analytics. Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, system testing, and documentation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Strong background in data modeling, dataset development, and data transformation techniques. Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and extracting data from relational databases. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Jira, GitHub, and Power BI development pipelines.Experience developing with Power Automate, PowerApps, dbt, and python.Working knowledge of manufacturing ERP and quality systemsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
