Position Title : IT Intern
Employment Terms : Hourly
Immediate Supervisor :
IT Director
Mindset / Experience : Consistently offer the highest level of support while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and helpful attitude. This is a hands-on IT Intern position which focuses on supporting our clients and IT Team.
Role & Performance Expectations : Work closely with the IT Director and Systems Administrator to advance IT objectives. Support the IT Team through quality and accurate work.
Minimum Responsibilities : Provide 1st level client support using support help desk application (Freshdesk) and triage support tickets.
Configure new hardware using company standards. Deploy client hardware including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and all other IT related peripheral devices to jobsites.
Maintain various network and software accounts including but not limited to Active Directory, Office 365, CMiC, Oracle Primavera Cloud, MDM, and various others.
Conduct annual Preventative Maintenance on all client PCs.
Conduct initial Microsoft InTune registration on all PCs
Help with updating and maintaining IT inventory, e-waste and other IT inventory tasks.
Help with jobsite setups and demobilization.
This position requires travel to different jobsites located throughout Southern California. Reliable transportation is necessary.
Advanced Responsibilities : Administer, maintain, and manage all servers in the organization including patching, scripts, VMware and network program installations.
Monitor network, server and MDM environment and report non-compliant devices.
Office 365 maintenance and archiving.
Monitor and configure disaster recovery and backup technology.
Recommended Education : Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or other Technical related degree.
Physical Demands :
This is a field and / or office position with work occurring on one or multiple sites at a time. Working from the job site and / or visiting multiple projects is required. Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise. Requires frequent bending, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking and lifting 20 lbs. or more.
