Job Summary The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role involves managing resources, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that project objectives are met. The IT Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and business analysts, to ensure the successful implementation of IT initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals. Key Duties Key Responsibilities : Project Planning and Initiation : Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Establish project governance structures, including project charters, steering committees, and stakeholder communication plans. Project Execution and Monitoring : Lead project teams, ensuring that all members understand their roles and responsibilities. Monitor project progress, manage scope, schedule, and budget to ensure that project milestones are met. Use project management tools and techniques to track and report on project status, risks, and issues. Stakeholder Management : Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, ensuring clear and timely updates to stakeholders. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve issues, and ensure project alignment with business objectives. Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers involved in the project. Risk Management and Problem-Solving : Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed. Proactively address project challenges and obstacles, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and effectively. Escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary, providing clear recommendations for resolution. Quality Assurance and Control : Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements. Conduct regular project reviews, audits, and testing to verify that objectives are being met and that project outcomes are sustainable. Implement best practices in project management, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate. Resource Management : Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and software tools. Ensure that project team members have the necessary training and support to complete their tasks effectively.
