Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Project Manager

Position type : Contract to Hire

Duration : 6 months

Location : Remote (however, clients 1st preference is LOCAL to the KC area)

  • If local, this would still be a REMOTE role, with only occasional travel into the office (maybe once a week for collaborating on projects)

PROJECTS :

  • Approximately 13 different workstreams.
  • Examples : Web pages, Salesforce, TMS (Transportation Management System), EDI / API…etc
  • Every lane of IT projects
  • Client is mostly running Waterfall methodology, transforming into Agile / Scrum (running Hybrid)

    • Job Summary

    Seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Manager to lead and manage multiple technology projects within our carrier transportation space. This unique role requires a blend of traditional project management expertise with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects while fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, tailoring the approach to best suit the specific project needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of projects, ensuring on-time and on budget delivery.
  • Facilitate Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum meetings, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Manage project backlogs, prioritize work items, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and authorizations for expenditures.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing proactive solutions.
  • Track project progress and performance metrics, reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, removing roadblocks and empowering team members.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop project team members.
  • Stay current on industry trendsand best practices in project management and transportation.

    • Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of success in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective facilitation and coaching skills with ability to facilitate agreement across functional teams to deliver project outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and Agile tools (e.g., Jira)

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks beyond Scrum (e.g., Kanban).
  • Experience working in the transportation industry
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    • PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS :

    Pay Range

  • 65-$75 / hr w2
  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
