It security engineer Jobs in Aurora, IL

Primary Responsibilities :

• Technical information security systems management including - but not limited to - endpoint protection; application control; email security; firewalls; vulnerability management; data loss prevention; cloud security services; security information and event management.
• Manage firmwide Cybersecurity incident response program management.
• Manage vulnerability management program and technology risk management program.
• Provide subject matter expertise on information security matters to technologists, business associates, managers, and executives.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with managed and / or professional information security services firms.
• Lead information security projects and enhancement efforts.
• Contribute to development of information security awareness program.
• Contribute to development of information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide input to the development of information security strategy and other cybersecurity and technology planning efforts.
• Stay abreast of relevant information security threats, news, and technologies.
• Respond to high-severity security alerts that may occur off-hours - including nights or weekends.
• Respond to escalated cybersecurity help desk tickets and participate in disaster recovery planning activities.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree
• in computer science, engineering or equivalent is required
• Minimum of 8 years
• of professional information security or cybersecurity experience is required.
• Technical or professional certifications are preferred.
• Advanced degree in Information Security or equivalent is desirable.
• Minimum one year's experience managing delivery of cybersecurity services in an enterprise environment is desirable.
• Minimum two years' professional experience in financial services or business consulting industry is highly preferred.
• Interest in financial services industry and demonstrable passion for technology is required.
• Firewall administration / management experience and Cyber incident management experience is preferred.
• Project management experience with the ability to successfully complete projects on time and within budget is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies including Defender, Entra, Intune, Sentinel, and Azure strongly preferred.
