Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist with our client in the financial industry located in Austin, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities :

• Implementing and operating IT security solutions to ensure the infrastructure is secure
• Well-versed in best practice and regularly interface with client GIS team for latest guidance, recommendations and requirements
• Will be consulted regularly and provide research and decisions on security-related items in support of our applications
• Assists in the development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques
• Coordinates the reporting data security incidents
• Provides technical support to client and management and staff in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products
• Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs
• Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocols
• Administers security policies to control access to systems and maintains the company firewall
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
• Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Uses and applies basic technical principles, concepts and techniques

Requirements :

Pay Range : $67.36-$75.36
