Minimum 3 years of procurement or purchasing experience Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills Familiarity with biotech / pharma supply chains, GMP standards, or a regulated environment is a plus. Experience with GreatPlains. Intermediate Excel skills Procurement certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPP) are a plus
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Procurement Specialist to support our growing operations in College Station. This role plays a critical part in sourcing and acquiring materials, equipment, and services essential to biotech and pharmaceutical development. While prior industry experience is a plus, we welcome candidates with strong procurement skills from other sectors who are eager to learn and grow in a regulated, science-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers for lab equipment, raw materials, and specialized services
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Manage purchase orders and coordinate timely delivery with vendors and internal teams
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments to understand procurement needs
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, vendor performance, and compliance documentation
