IT Systems Engineer
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our team, who is responsible for managing and maintaining the core IT infrastructure that supports our operations. This includes ensuring system reliability, optimizing disaster recovery and backup processes, expanding automation capabilities, and enhancing infrastructure monitoring. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for mentoring junior team members to build a stronger team.
Critical Projects
- One of the key initiatives for this role will be refining our Veeam backup configuration to align with established RTO / RPOs. The candidate will analyze our existing backup systems, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and propose improvements to meet our backup and recovery goals. Once recommendations are approved, the candidate will play an active role in implementing these enhancements to ensure a robust and reliable backup and recovery strategy.
- Participate in a strategic project to evaluate options for cloud, colocation, and data center migration options as the organization transitions from its current facilities to more scalable solutions. The candidate will provide technical expertise to assess infrastructure needs, contribute to the selection process, and support the migration of IT services to the chosen platform. Experience with application migrations, including planning, testing, and execution, is highly preferred and will be a significant asset in ensuring a seamless transition.
