Job description

Starside Security & Investigation, Inc. Detention Services Division (DSD) is looking for California Licensed Security Guards to work as Jailers at multiple local Jails. Jailers are assigned to a Local Jails in Los Angeles County. Starside also has position in Orange, San Bernardino and San Diego Counties. Starside’s Jailers work at various Local, City Jails. Starside’s Jailers help local police departments by booking, securing and transporting inmates. Jailer are protecting and securing both the public and the Detainee by preventing escape. Starside also protects the public and the inmate from harm.

Ideal Candidate

Clean Background / Clear Credit / DMV
Pass a Pre-employment Physical
California Guard Card
California Exposed Firearms Permit, (40 Caliber, 9mm) a plus
Previous Jailer, Detention or Corrections Experience a must
Willing to arrive at work on time and in uniform
Work at another Local Jail / Federal Facility if a special detail or a need arises
Willing to work Full Time and Overtime when needed.
Minimum 3 years handling Prisoners / Detainees within the previous 5 years
Special Operations / Military a plus (DD214)
All Starside employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Clearance

Compensation is $21.00 per hour , Vacation and Sick time after 1 year. Starside’s Jailers must be approved by Local Jail they assigned and pass their background
