Job Description

Job Objective : Maintain property and grounds accordance with acceptable standards of safety, cleanliness and appearance. Properties include building, grounds and equipment serving the building.

Essential Functions :

• Follow the cleaning schedule as provided which includes, but not limited to, the following : Clean all floors daily according to type of flooring and including stairwellsClean all bathrooms dailyEmpty all trash from offices and community areas, break down cardboard Dust all areas weekly including window blinds, sills and tops of cubicle dividersClean windows of entryways weeklyClean glass on cubicle dividers and indoor windows monthly or more often as needed
• Inspect and notify management concerning needs for major repairs, safety or security issues
• Maintain inventory and advise direct supervisor of janitorial and building supply needs
• Provide routine outside maintenance such as litter and landscape areas as assigned
• Assist with set up of furniture for meetings as needed
• Assist with unloading and put away of any donations received
• Assist with seasonal activities
• Assist with transporting vehicles for maintenance as needed

Minimum Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience : Janitorial and maintenance experience of at least 3 years in a multi office setting is preferred

Certifications / Licenses : None

Skills / Abilities :

Supervisory Responsibility : None

Physical Requirements : Include standing, walking, climbing, and kneeling for extended periods of time; lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.

Travel : None

Driving : Driving is required; Must possess a valid driver's license from the state of residence. Must be approved and maintain approval through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.

Working Conditions : Work is performed in a typical office environment with some outdoor activity
