Lead Java Developer

As a Lead Java Developer you will make an impact as the primary point of contact for all Java domain-related queries and issues. You will be a valued member of the team and work collaboratively with management, team members and client. We believe remote work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, if this is a hybrid position, it will require 3-4 days a week in the client or Cognizant office. Location : Remote

Role & Responsibilities :

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and secure enterprise applications using Java / J2EE and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Work within Agile / Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, providing technical support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product Owners)

Required Skills :

Applications will be accepted until 01 / 05 / 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $83,250 $132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
