Job Title : Mechanical Designer 3
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Mechanical Designer 3 to join our team in designing piping systems using AutoCAD-based software and ShipConstructor. This role is crucial in supporting our shipyard projects, specifically for the United States Coast Guard's large vessel designs. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a Designer 4 and collaborate closely with other Designers and Engineers. This role would require relocation to Ft Worth Texas.
Responsibilities
- Design piping systems using AutoCAD-based software and ShipConstructor.
- Translate piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) into 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure design accuracy and project success.
- Communicate frequently with Designers and Engineers to align on project requirements and updates.
- Utilize specialized shipbuilding software that integrates with AutoCAD and mechanical design.

Work Environment
The position is based in an Engineering Service Office, providing a collaborative environment with access to advanced design software and tools. Position is located in Ft Worth Texas, and would require relocation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00 / hr.
