Vocation Services
Responsibilities
Provides vocational related training including but not limited to job skills, transportation, proper work habits, socialization skills and proper dress and work safety, to support individuals receiving services in a wide range of vocational settings. Acts as a liaison with potential employers and markets the Vocational Services Program and the supports within the program. Assesses work environment and job tasks. Completes productivity evaluation to ensure compliance with the DOL (Department of Labor) regulations. Maintains timely data collection records to compute individual's productivity and earnings. Completes daily attendance records as necessary. Maintains a record of data as needed to measure individual's progress on program plan objectives. Develops and implements vocational service plan, life plan, and personal outcome measures at semi-annual and annual review. Makes recommendations regarding transition and employment opportunities. Conducts a minimum of two case reviews per year for each individual.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree; or associate's degree and one year of related experience; or High school diploma or equivalent and two years of related vocational and / or human services experience. While performing the duties of this job, in order to instruct, care for, and assist people with developmental disabilities, the employee is frequently required to : stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or equipment; reach with hands and arms; and talk and see. The employee is also occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 40 pounds. May be required to meet OPWDD Level II S.C.I.P.-R. (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention Revised) requirements. May be required to meet VEHICLE OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS.
