Journeyman electrician Jobs in Santa Clarita, CA

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Light electrical work : changing lights, ballasts, GFIs, etc. Help maintain the electrical infrastructure on the Lake Forest and Rancho Capistrano campuses.

Duties may include :

• Install, repair, maintain, and test building electrical systems including, switches, switchgears, etc.
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
• Perform semiskilled and unskilled labor duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various electrical systems and equipment.
• Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code.
• Comply with company, federal, state, and local safety, ethics, and environmental rules, regulations, and policies.
• Install and hook up basic electrical equipment following all rules and building codes.
• Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation.
• Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and wiring problem
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures; utilize hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolds, and other resources as needed.

The estimated pay rate for this position is $25.00-$34.00 per hour, depending on experience. We will provide a pay rate within our salary structure that fits a candidate's qualifications and experience for the job. The posted wage range does not guarantee a specific job offer.
