Job descriptionHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent. Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites. Adherence to safety protocols. Extensive knowledge of construction hand tools. Completion of an apprenticeship program. Completion and passing of a journeymans test through local 421. Ability to take direction and perform tasks with limited supervision. Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and varied schedules. Capacity to follow safety regulations and work in all weather conditions. At least 4 years of construction experience. Strong decision-making and excellent communication skills. OSHA 30 certification. At least 5 years of experience in the mechanical industry or completion of a JATC apprenticeship program with leadership or foreman experience.

Overview
A working crew member responsible for taking direction from a foreman, training and guiding Apprentices and Helpers, and assisting with the installation, demolition of mechanical system components, and material handling.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safe working practices throughout all activities.
- Assist with the installation of duct and piping systems.
- Train and direct Apprentices and Helpers on proper work practices.
- Load, unload, and move materials such as sheet metal, piping, boxes, carts, trash, and containers.
- Read and interpret project documents such as prints and specifications.
- Plan efficient methods for installing duct and piping systems.
- Participate in the Stretch and Flex program.
- Operate all necessary tools safely and effectively.
- Identify and report safety issues to the foreman.
