Job description

Job Description and Duties

Under general supervision, to do a variety of skilled work in the operation, alteration, Maintenance, Repair, and installation of plumbing systems normally found in commercial buildings and building facilities. Will be required to perform physical work in harsh environments due to weather conditions and mechanical equipment indoors and outdoors, support interim events, State Fair, and work alternate schedules at times, for example, weekends and nights. Follow all industry standards and codes and safe work practices. May instruct or a crew, fill out reports, time cards, and requisition materials. Within 9 months of appointment, will possess and maintain a “Cross Connection Control Certificate and a Back Flow Prevention Assembly Tester Certificate as well as Drinking Water System Distribution Operator Certification, both are required for this position and are eligible for monthly stipend compensation determined by Bargaining Unit contract.

Working Conditions
