Job description

EHS Business Solutions, a Chicago-located, leading restaurant focused, Accounting and Advisory firm is looking for an experienced Restaurant Accountant able to work with multiple restaurant clients. Our team is made up of fun-loving, hard-working individuals who have a passion for providing sound accounting services to small and medium sized, independently owned restaurants.

EHS offers a competitive salary, PTO, health, dental & vision and 401k plan.

Duties Include

Reconciliation of POS sales and deposit activities
Payroll review & posting
Accounts Payable
Sales Tax Calculation and Filings
Bank reconciliations
General Ledger journal entries
Account reconciliations
Period Close
Preparation / review / analysis of weekly & monthly reports
Cash Forecasting
Some on-site work may be requested

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of restaurant accounting experience.

Bachelor's degree / CPA or Graduate degree a plus

Strong Organizational Skills

Extensive experience with data entry, general ledger functions and reporting.

Strong attention to detail

Candidate should be able to multitask and work independently with the expectation of providing quality, accurate work in a timely manner.

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to enthusiastically work with restaurant management and ownership. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are imperative.

QuickBooks Online and / or Restaurant 365 Accounting Software experience

Experience with reporting from various Point of Sales (POS) Toast POS experience a plus
