A large banking client is looking for a Business Analyst with Project Management and Business Intelligence skills to join their team. This team is part of Global Risk Management, specifically within Data Strategy & Management. This team focuses on developing holistic vision on how best to structure data sourcing and data quality control strategy for GRM so it can unlock business value
This role will collaborate with the GRM Data Stewards, Data U , and Data Owners to understand their business processes and data needs to develop business requirements for their strategic data initiatives. You will also engage with the Front-Office Data Strategy Executives and Data Stewards as well as Technology teams to understand GRM and Front Office process, technology and data connections, perform analysis to help devise solutions, and articulate them in the business requirements documents.
You will translate business needs into systems solutions :
- Consult with data stewards, process owners, subject matter experts, technical experts, end u and other stakeholders to gather information about the current and target state business process, data attributes and data sources, control features, interfaces with other systems required
- Determine points-of-failure at the hand-off points across systems and functions and build requirements for appropriate controls
- Work with the GRM and Front-Office stakeholders to understand current pain points, and assist with root cause analysis on data quality issues to provide strategic solutions
- Analyze information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, segment high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding of business requirements
- Elaborate the stated requirements to sufficient level of detail that accurately define the business need within the specified solution scope
- Validate that requirements meet the business need
- Document business, task, and workflow processes using industry standard methods including business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, diagrams, flow charts, etc., ensuring that these deliverables can be used to design a solution to the stated business problem
- Coordinate project management for the specific requirements this person implemented. Assesses solutions to confirm that the business goals are met and requirements are satisfied, including defining acceptance criteria and monitoring implementation
- Review technical solution designs from a business point of view and recommend alternatives
- Serve as a liaison and resource to the Data Stewards, project managers, developers, and other project team members throughout each phase of the process to help clarify and / or resolve issues related to requirement, design, testing and acceptance specifications
- Assist in project scoping and planning, and work with the stakeholders to define acceptance tests
- Develop Tableau dashboards through pulling and cleansing multiple data sets. Assist in overall report automation.
