Job Summary :
The Indy Art Center Summer Art Camps emphasize the experience with the arts. Along with making original creations, campers participate in creative group activities. Camp Instructors offer young students high-quality and age-appropriate fine art instruction, encouraging creative self-expression and fostering positive risk-taking within a nurturing artistic community. The Indy Art Center believes that by participating in the creative process, young artists improve their artistic abilities, as well as their communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth, a general knowledge of various art techniques and materials, be dependable and have a positive and friendly attitude.
Job Responsibilities :
Essential Job Functions :
1. Prepare course material within specified timelines and budget
2. Teach students utilizing best practices from both the Art Center and Artistic Judgement
3. Manage materials in an effective and sustainable manner
4. Be an Engaged Team member to promote personal growth and development of best practices in the Education Department
