Job Title : Junior Buyer

Location : Phoenix, AZ

Position Summary :

We are seeking a Junior Buyer to assist the Purchasing Lead in day-to-day functions, including purchasing and inventory support for various departments.

Essential Functions :

• Prepare purchase orders in ERP, utilizing purchase requisitions, purchase suggestions, and other documentation, and provide approved purchase orders to suppliers.
• Contact vendors to confirm the status of orders.
• Confirm delivery schedules with suppliers and escalate when needed.
• Document and monitor supplier performance, maintaining a supplier discrepancy log for corrective action.
• Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with suppliers in accordance with company policy.
• Research suppliers to determine compliance with the Supplier Qualification checklist.
• Work with Inventory Control Specialist to resolve delivery, quality, and quantity discrepancies, working with suppliers to obtain credits, refunds, exchanges, or other resolutions.
• Maintain Supplier Maintenance in ERP, including supplier price lists, alternate suppliers, supplier part numbers, and other information pertinent to each vendor, etc.
• Assist in coordinating with Manufacturing and Operations, and recommend adjustments based on part availability and quantity price discounts.
• Obtain a minimum of 3 bids for review in accordance with company policy.
