Job descriptionLegal authorization to work in the U.S. 6 years of experience in strategic communications, marketing, public relations, and / or content development. Bachelor’s degree in a related program, such as Mass Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or Journalism. Consulting experience supporting large, complex Cabinet-level federal agencies. Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. Excellent writing, editing, research and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively capture a speaker’s specific tone and style. THE ROLE…
- Participate in listening sessions with leaders to gather content requirements and expectations.
- Research, write, edit, and manage a broad range of print and digital communications materials (e.g., articles, blogs, newsletters, digital guides, presentations, brochures, talking points, fact sheets, toolkits, video scripts, websites).
- Translate complex messaging into plain language to ensure materials are easy to read, understand and use.
- Develop content to be shared on federal and partner social media channels.
- Gather, analyze, fact check and interpret data from various sources.
- Implement edits provided by clients and other team members effectively and quickly.
- Interview sources and develop content that conveys critical information and reflects key messaging in a standardized and consistent voice and tone.
- Develop themes, concepts, messaging and distribution tactics for marketing materials.
- Plan, generate and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including client leadership.
- Write, review and edit content in compliance with AP style and other federal content guidelines.
- Review documents for stylistic and formatting consistency.
- Assist with the client’s new business development writing needs.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
