Job description

Are you ready to be part of a company that's not just talking about the future, but actively shaping it? Join The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), a Fortune 500 company that's leading the charge in the global energy revolution. With operations spanning 14 countries, AES is committed to shaping a future through innovation and collaboration. Our dedication to innovation has earned us recognition as one of the Top Ten Best Workplaces for Innovators by Fast Company in 2022. And with our certification as a Great Place to Work, you can be confident that you're joining a company that values its people just as much as its groundbreaking ideas.

AES is proudly ranked #1 globally in renewable energy sales to corporations, and with $12.7B in revenues in 2023, we have the resources and expertise to make a significant impact as we provide electricity to 25 million customers worldwide. As the world moves towards a net-zero future, AES is committed to meeting the Paris Agreement's goals by 2050. Our innovative solutions, such as 24/7 carbon-free energy for data centers, are setting the pace for rapid, global decarbonization.

If you're ready to be part of a company that's not just adapting to change, but driving it, AES is the place for you. We're not just building a cleaner, more sustainable future - we're powering it. Apply now and energize your career with a true leader in the global energy transformation.

AES Clean Energy (CE) is seeking an Analyst – Data Services to support the ongoing accuracy, integrity, and reporting of operational data across AES CE’s renewable energy portfolio. This individual will play a key role in ensuring high-quality data is available for performance monitoring, regulatory compliance, and commercial reporting. The position partners closely with Control Center personnel and the O&M Engineering team to maintain reliable datasets and deliver critical insights for solar, wind, and battery energy storage system (BESS) assets.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and driven to improve data quality and reporting processes in a fast-paced operational environment.

At AES, we raise the quality of life around the world by changing the way energy works. Everyone makes an impact every day in our small, global teams. Apply here to start an extraordinary career today.

AES’s mission is to improve lives by accelerating a safer and greener energy future. We are a global, agile, cohesive organization with an employee engagement level akin to a startup company. AES businesses throughout the world are often recognized as great places to work. Our people share a passion to help meet the world’s current and increasing energy needs, while providing communities and countries the opportunity for economic growth through reliable, affordable electric power.

A day in the life of an AES CE Analyst – Data Services will include, but is not limited to:

Ensuring data accuracy and availability across monitoring, ticketing, and reporting systems

Editing, tracking, and validating operational and production data to support KPI reporting across solar, wind, and BESS assets

Collaborating with Control Center personnel and the O&M Engineering team to resolve data discrepancies and improve processes

The Analyst – Data Services supports a broader Operations organization and serves as a key contributor to maintaining data quality standards across AES CE’s portfolio. This role requires experience working with operational data systems, reporting tools, and cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and process-oriented thinking are critical for success.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability across monitoring, ticketing, and analytics systems

  • Edit, track, and validate fault and production data to support accurate KPI tracking and performance analysis across solar, wind, and BESS assets

  • Prepare monthly operating reports for internal teams including treasury and site operations

  • Develop and deliver regulatory reporting (EQR, FERC, EIA) for solar, wind, and BESS assets

  • Maintain and improve data validation and quality control processes to identify and correct discrepancies
Support compliance with regulatory and operational reporting requirements

Collaboration

  • Partner with the O&M Engineering team to resolve data issues, support performance analysis, and improve reporting processes

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on reporting requirements

  • Support documentation and standardization of processes, including development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Growth and Leadership

  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, enhance reporting efficiency, and automate operational processes

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

  • Demonstrate accountability, ownership, and a commitment to high performance

  • Continue developing technical and industry knowledge related to solar, wind, and BESS assets and data systems

Skills and Qualifications:
