Green Street’s Finance team is seeking a Senior Data Analyst who possesses a superior ability with data tools, has proficiency in recurring revenue financial analysis, and is a highly effective collaborator eager to deliver strategic insights to the business. The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for building internal financial analytics capabilities for the Finance team and establishing critical data analysis frameworks while working with a cross-functional team of commercial, product, and technology counterparts. We provide a world class Finance leadership team and mentoring to support professional development. This opportunity is for an individual who is looking to make an immediate impact and join a highly visible Finance team that is a key part of a leading intelligence provider in the commercial real estate sector.
Responsibilities
- Own the entire process of building internal Finance data analytics dashboards through business requirement gathering, data transformation, visualization preparation, documentation, and governance.
- Drive business value by developing a thorough understanding of Green Street’s product suite and go-to-market strategy to identify and build new business intelligence tools that monitor and act upon key performance indicators.
- Analyze business performance and identify leading indicators to deliver actionable insights to senior leadership that allow us to achieve our objectives.
- Maintain direct channels of communication with FP&A, accounting, sales, account management / customer success, product, data operations, and technology leadership to design analytical tools that provide valuable insight into business performance including customer usage analytics, pipeline trends, and more.
- Identify gaps in existing data sets and collaborate with internal teams to add to and improve data requirements.
- Analyze data workflows and re-engineer systems and processes to allow for enhanced automation and earlier detection of critical business issues.
- Complete the build-out of an enterprise grade historical customer retention analytics suite of dashboards in Power BI, including :
- Finalization of data structure within databases and analytics tools, and definitions of required measures
- Completion of retention dashboards
- Build out a set of data consistency dashboards to help identify upstream data anomalies prior to incorporation into analytics
- Set up and administer governance structure including ticketing for access requests, bug fixes, and new features
- Reconciliation of output to historical reporting
- Buildout of reporting capabilities to automatically populate monthly operating reports for company leadership
