JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a 6M C2H opportunity located in Dallas, TX 75244 (onsite 4-days per week).  The Network Engineer will build, implement, and maintain network systems across the enterprise, including user network administration. The Network Engineer will support the Senior Network Engineer, including designing, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing all LAN / WAN hardware, servers, software, and communication links.

• Team Breakdown : 7 Total (Senior Network Engineer / Network Admin / PMs / 2 ERP Application Support)

Monitor / Analyze Network Performance Across LAN / WAN / Wireless Deployments

Ensure Stable Network Operation / Efficient Performance

Implement Improvements / Modifications / Replacement of Network Infrastructure Components

Monitor System Capacity – Determine Effects on Performance / Recommend Enhancements

Install / Configure / Troubleshoot Network Hardware – Routers / Switches / IPS / IDS / Firewalls

Assist in Cloud Infrastructure / SaaS Migrations

Monitor / Report on Security Policy Compliance – Implement Cybersecurity System Vulnerability Scanning

Perform User System Administration – Active Directory (Add / Remove Users / Groups / Folder Security Permissions, etc.) | O365 Features (Teams / Distribution Lists, etc.)

Network Asset Management – Network Component Inventory / Technical Spec Documentation, etc.

Manage / Monitor / Maintain Support Contracts / Licensing

Hands-On Technical Support – IT Network Upgrades / New Office Rollouts / Cybersecurity / Cloud Migrations / VPN Deployments, etc.

Provide Helpdesk Support to Senior Management – Maintain Technical Documentation / Self-Help Instructions

Maintain Control Management – Windows Security Updates / Antivirus Software / Mobile Device Management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Network Engineer (5+ years) – Cisco Routing / Switching / Firewalls

Firewall Troubleshooting / Support / Configuration – Meraki / Checkpoint / Juniper

Azure Networking Support – Azure AD (Entra ID) / Assisting in Cloud infrastructure / SaaS Migrations

Network Troubleshooting – Wireshark / TCPdump / SolarWinds / NetFlow, etc.

Systems Administration / Support – Active Directory (Add / Remove Users / Groups / Folder Security Permissions, etc.) | MS O365 Administration / O365 Features (Teams / Distribution Lists, etc.) | VMware / vSphere 7 / 8 | Citrix

Site-to-Site VPN / Aruba (WiFi) / Dell Unity SAN / Domain Controllers (DFS)
