JUNIOR PROJECT COORDINATOR (PROJECT-BASED)

FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt
DIRECT REPORTS : POSITION PURPOSE :
The Junior Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the efficient organization, retrieval, management and disposition of physical records from an off-site storage. This role focuses on identifying records according to Record Retention Schedule, managing digitization project and leading a team of records specialists. The coordinator will develop systems for accurate document identification, conduct quality control, and implement record management process improvements and efficiency. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance within the organization and timely delivery of the project. The role is project-based with a duration of three (3) years.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the organization, storage, retrieval, retention and destruction of physical records from off-site storage, ensuring compliance with record retention policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and manage digitization projects, including scanning, indexing and archiving documents.
- Assist in planning, executing and monitoring project timelines and deliverables, communicating project status and updates to Records & Information Manager.
- Develop and maintain a system for identifying and categorizing documents, ensuring accurate and timely identification of records.
- Conduct regular audit of digitized records to ensure accuracy and completeness and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Implement innovative solution to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, improving record management and digitization process.
- Ensure all record management activities comply with organizational policies, relevant laws and regulations.
- Initiate destruction review process for all records that either are past their retention period or have undergone digitization process and does not have permanent retention requirement.

Salary and Benefits :
Salary Range : $56,000 - $60,000 annually
The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills, education, and experience. The NYCDCC Benefit Funds offer a generous and competitive benefit package.
