Senior Software Engineer

Fast growing industry leader has an immediate need for a Senior Software Engineer to join their world class engineering team in a full time, fully onsite role designing and building solutions for a national market. This is a high impact role that's a perfect opportunity for a talented engineer to build Microservices using Python and AWS Serverless architecture. In this Stamford based, fully onsite role, you will participate in system architecture, design, development, and automation initiatives with talented colleagues in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities :

Build microservices with Python in an AWS, serverless environment.
System architecture and design in collaboration with engineering team.
Develop clean code and elegant software solutions using Python.
Participate in automation initiatives for CI / CD and resource management.
Understand, build and support secured systems.
Ability to adapt to innovation and learn new technologies such as AI.
Collaborate with Product and Project Managers to understand and map business requirements, user stories, and system architecture,

Requirements :

5+ years experience in a Senior Backend Developer role with deep knowledge of server side technologies including messaging, REST, security, databases, etc.

Solid OO programming skills, Python experience preferred.

Experience with and understanding of observability tools (logs, alerts, tracing).

Experience processing large data sets using tools like Airflow, InfluxDB or similar.

Frontend (TypeScript / React) experience a big plus.

Experience with MySQL, GraphQL, and Github, a plus.

Experience with AWS Lambda, EC2 and Amplify strongly preferred.

Collaborative team player with experience partnering with cross functional teams.

Desire to work in an innovative technical environment and with world class, fully onsite team.

Experience building microservices in an AWS Serverless architecture.

Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related, or equivalent work experience.
