VCA Northwest Animal Hospital is seeking a part time Kennel assistant / Daycare attendant for our boarding facility.

Compensation : $ -$ per hour depending upon experience, availability and leadership potential

We are looking for positive, pleasant, cheerful, motived candidates, who are reliable and enjoy working with animals and people.

Must be available weekends, major holidays and spring break. Schedule and shifts may vary throughout the week, and average about 20-25 hours per week.

Must be comfortable and competent caring for cats, and dogs, of all sizes and breeds.

Must be able to work independently, as well as, part of a larger team

Duties will include but are not limited to :

• Feeding and providing water to animals
• Dog Walking
• Animal Husbandry
• Care and supervision of Dog play groups
• Playing with, and entertainment of, our boarding animals
• Bathing and Brushing of boarding animals
• Cleaning of kennels, cages, our daycare facility, and surrounding areas.
• General cleaning and maintenance of the building, grounds, and hospital both indoors and out.

Must treat animals with care and respect, and work well with them.

Must enjoy keeping pets, kennels and the environment clean.

Must be able to take direction well, and follow established rules, duties, tasks and protocols.

Must be reliable, efficient, task and detail oriented.
