The Lab Operations Lab Associate will work as a member of the Test Facilities & Equipment Engineering Team within the Engineering Reliability & Test Organization.

This position will support all Engineering Test teams performing in-house as well as external test. The primary objective of this role is to assist with the overall lab operations efforts, organization, lab safety and processes at the Test Lab. The successful candidate for this position must have a broad background and a proven record of success in laboratory or similar facilities, and workshop organization. This candidate takes pride in their hands-on abilities, organization skills and attention to detail. They appreciate an environment where superior work is encouraged, noticed and rewarded PR $22-27

Required Skills & Experience

Ability to lift, pull, push 50 lbs.

• Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time
• Performing the day-to-day operations of the lab that consist of forklifting, pallet jack use, lifting and moving of material / parts / vehicles as requests arise
• Coordinating with support teams Janitorial, EHS, Security, Workplace, etc.
• Test Parts, Equipment and Vehicle logistics, including shipments, transfers and tracking to / from all Tesla locations, locally and globally
• Coordinating with lab operations management on projects and tasks as needed
• Assisting with creating lab procedures, signage and labels and enforcing these throughout
• Assisting with the coordination, relocation and placement of test parts, equipment and vehicles
• Maintaining the lab organization as well as storage and test sample disposition activities and post-test retention
• Assist with urgent work request in support of Test and Engineering efforts as needed
• Daily operation of test fleet vehicles, support vehicles and shop equipment forklifts, EV carts and Stringo vehicle mover, as needed
