Job Description

Title : Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

Schedule : Days, 10 hours

Assignment Details :

Rate : $110

On Call : Rotating after hours call with a required Sunday rotation, max 30-minute commute time

Requirements :

• 1 year experience in Special Procedures or Cath / EP cases
• ARRT or RCIS certification
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• State of TX Medical Radiologic License
• Must disclose any previous Parkland employment history in profile
• Experience in a critical care setting (ICU, ED, etc.) or previous Cath / EP Lab setting is preferred
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Conduct specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and / or electrophysiology studies.
• Serve as a lead worker and resource to medical and clinical staff to ensure maximum utilization of capabilities.
• Collaborate with intra-procedure team to provide safe patient care, participating in Universal Protocol and site marking identification.
• Assist with identification, preparation, and draping of patients, as well as room preparation for routine procedures.
• Read physician orders / protocols and communicate with physicians on protocols for routine procedures, ensuring equipment selection aligns with protocols and standards.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, conducting preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure operability.
• Stay updated with developments in cardiovascular technology and integrate knowledge into current work practices.
