Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring a Laboratory Technician I
Position type : Fulltime / Contract
Location : Baltimore, MD 21226
Duration : 6 months with possible extension
As a Laboratory Technician I, you will :
- Perform all routine and some complex calibrations, tests, test setups, data collection, and / or data analysis in accordance with all pertinent customer and QA program requirements. Maintain accurate records of calibrations, testing, and analytical work performed including required traceability on equipment utilized. Compute, analyze, and record test data.
- Develop sound conclusions and write reports of project results. Interact with clients and vendors to resolve technical problems relating to assigned work. Perform research and make recommendations to resolve non-conforming conditions, out-of-tolerance conditions, process improvements, and procurement of testing components and equipment. Associate's degree or equivalent or PMEL training (no experience required), or a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus four years of relevant experience.
- Capable of obtaining / maintaining unescorted access to nuclear plants.
- Basic computer skills. Demonstrated problem-solving ability, interpersonal skills, and strong customer orientation. Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle. Can work independently and at remote locations.
- Can assemble test equipment from elevated staging platforms up to 10 feet above ground.
- Can respond to off-hours urgent client requests. Work is normally done in an environmentally controlled laboratory setting. However, some tasks will entail proximity to high-voltage apparatus or chemicals.
- Some work is performed at the client's premises which can include industrial environments.
