Job descriptionResponsible for scheduling, planning, managing, and executing multiple survey projects. Ensure projects meet the proposed schedule and are within the designated budget. Frequently interact with clients and remains responsive to client while directing any concerns to the appropriate authorities. Organize the technical production of projects, directs field work, and monitors quality and control of work. Coordinate surveying tasks with project managers. Read and interpret plans and specifications. Understand state and local regulations regarding surveying. Calculate surveying fees and write proposals. Effectively communicate information to staff, clients, and the project team. Participate in site visits, agency meetings, and municipal meetings as needed. Work on-site as needed, with flexibility to travel to various project locations. A bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferred and / or equivalent work experience. Professional Land Surveyor registration. Minimum of 5 years of experience in geomatics. Autocad Civil 3D experience preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes. The ability to balance multiple work assignments on multiple projects at the same time. Process-oriented thinking with strong organizational and technical skills. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to take and understand directives from Project Managers. The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands from Project Managers. The ability to work alone but also effectively as part of a team. Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, a cleared criminal background check and pass a drug test.
