About the Role :
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to lead and support a variety of land surveying projects across Central Texas. The ideal candidate not only brings a strong technical foundation in boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, but also a passion for client engagement, business development, and helping grow our presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage land surveying projects from start to finish, ensuring quality control and timely delivery.
Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, and survey deliverables in compliance with state and local regulations.
Oversee and support survey field crews and CAD technicians, providing technical guidance as needed.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building lasting relationships and understanding project goals.
Collaborate with leadership on proposals, budgeting, and strategy to grow market share and client base.
Identify new business opportunities, attend industry events, and actively support marketing and sales efforts.
Ensure all survey work complies with regulatory standards and professional licensing requirements.
Qualifications :
Active RPLS license in the State of Texas.
5+ years of experience in land surveying with a solid understanding of both field and office practices.
Proven experience in business development, client relations, or project acquisition is highly preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey-related technologies such as Trimble, Leica, or Carlson systems.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
A team-first mentality with the ability to mentor junior staff and represent the firm professionally.
