Supervises the service and maintenance of all plumbing, sewer, and food service equipment. Supervises the installation of new equipment and new construction pertaining to plumbing.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Works with other foremen, manager, and director on plumbing responsibilities (recommends solutions and improvements).
- Prioritizes job requests.
- Keeps records and gives status reports.
- Reviews completed tickets daily.
- Conducts inventory of all assigned tools and equipment when directed.
- Ensures that assigned vehicles have sufficient inventory to perform tasks
- Provides annual input for budgetary considerations.
- Responsible for estimating and requesting of materials.
- Checks distribution box when in the shop and responds to correspondence in a timely manner
- Makes on-site inspections.
- Reviews projected projects and estimates work hours for completion.
- Interprets policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Evaluates employee performance, makes recommendations for advancement, disciplinary action.
- The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not, as are assigned or required by such employee's supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law, board policy, administrative regulation department handbook, as are reasonably necessary to the efficient operation of the school system and its mission.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS :
Must possess leadership ability with good interpersonal skills. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of plumbing tools, equipment and materials and their use in conjunction with gas lines / meters, air lines, fire safety equipment, sprinkler systems.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE :
Six years experience on the job in the field of plumbing. High school education required. Graduate from a two year trade school and supervisory experience preferred.
CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
Possession of a valid state driver's license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Good physical condition (climb ladders, heavy lifting, and able to crawl small places).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Requires traveling to various sites on a frequent and unscheduled basis.
