Emerson is seeking a detail-oriented Machinist to join our team in Lawrence, MA. This role involves working in a dynamic tool room environment, building and repairing tools and die components using manual and CNC equipment. You will set up and operate production machines for complex, precision tasks, handle intricate part setups requiring close tolerances, interpret blueprints, and contribute to innovative production solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines, including lathes, drill presses, saws, and grinders.
• Maintain machine components in excellent working condition.
• Ensure all tooling complies with safety standards and regulations.
• Sharpen and maintain knives, scissors, and other cutting tools.
• Service steel rule dies by sharpening blades and replacing punches.
• Perform basic mold repairs, such as fixing marks, updating date codes, and creating simple tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and other tool design documentation accurately.
• Fabricate and modify basic tooling and components as needed.
• Recommend process improvements to supervisors to enhance efficiency.
• Conduct basic inspections to ensure precision and quality.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools effectively for various tasks.
