Summary
The United States Postal Service is seeking to fill an attorney position in one of the following locations : Denver, CO, Long Beach, CA, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, or Seattle, WA.

Duties
The successful candidate will handle a heavy employment caseload before the Federal District Court and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as providing advice to internal clients on a variety of employment matters, including but not limited to those arising under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Rehabilitation Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Experience practicing employment law in federal courts or before the EEOC or MSPB is preferred. Current litigation experience, including discovery, drafting and filing motions, mediation, and participation in trials and hearings, is also preferred. Experience in handling federal district court employment cases, EEOC, MSPB, and / or other litigation should be specifically documented in the applicant's resume.

Conditions of Employment
SPECIAL CONDITION : Qualified applicants must be a current member in good standing of a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Bar Association.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT : At least 3 years of experience in legal practice, of which one year of the experience requirement may be met through the completion of a judicial clerkship if completed by the time of hire. The clerkship must be documented in the applicant's resume.
Special Conditions : A RESUME, COVER LETTER, WRITING SAMPLE (Law School Transcript Optional).
Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the U.S. Postal Service's requirement to be drug free. Applicants must also be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status.

Education
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT : To be eligible for the Attorney position, you must possess a Juris Doctor from an American Bar Association accredited law school.

The salary range above provides only the minimum and maximum salaries for the attorney position. Salary offers will be based upon the candidate's years of attorney experience.
