HERC - New EnglandWest Hartford, CTLocation : West Hartford, CT Category : Faculty Posted On : Thu Feb 8 2024 Job Description : We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration. This is a 12-month non-tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will demonstrate a robust commitment to teaching, research, and service, while providing clinical pharmacy services in the area of adult general / internal medicine in a hospital setting. Qualified candidates will possess a high level of clinical expertise and competency, enthusiasm for teaching, and the interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with learners, faculty, patients, healthcare providers, and the public We look forward to welcoming a dedicated professional who will contribute significantly to our academic community. Responsibilities : Develop and deliver high-quality didactic and experiential courses in pharmacy practice Develop and maintain an acute care clinical practice site Engage in collaborative scholarly research activities, including presentations and publications Provide mentorship and advisement to pharmacy students Participate in departmental, university, and community service activities Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance pharmacy education and practice Job Requirements : Qualifications : Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in the State of Connecticut Completion of a residency program (PGY1 and / or PGY2) or equivalent experience Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications : Experience precepting pharmacy students Prior teaching experience in an academic setting Experience with innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enhanced learning Additional Information : Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
