JOB SUMMARY

Provide technical expertise to design, develop and maintain software components and products that support H&R Block business applications. Provide a lead role for day-to-day functional and non-functional tasks in the team, developer support and maintain the development environment. Create test strategies utilizing unit, integration, pact, load, performance and system testing framework and tools. Assist in planning and implementation of a strategic direction for the product. Design, develop and maintain complex software components using distributed microservice architecture. Build accessible applications using JAWS and NVDA, and design and implement application resilience using the Polly framework. Assist and drive technical design and code reviews for all new enhancements and maintenance work delivered by the development team. Maintain all the application environments to build and deploy applications. Build and deploy code using CI / CD pipelines with Azure Devops and other tools. Mentor and coach other team members on the latest technological advances within the current technology used.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field.

Eight years of software architecture and development experience to include :

• Software development lifecycle using Agile and Kanban.
• ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, .Net Core, Web API, WCF, HTML, XML, CSS, C#, Visual Studio, VS Code, NUnit and Rhino Mock.
• Client-side frameworks such as Angular JS, JavaScript, jQuery and JSON.
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Microservice distributed architecture.
• Cloud Technologies - Microsoft Azure, Azure Web App, Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Redis cache, Key Vault, Application Insights and Docker.
• Build and deploy code using CI / CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Deploy infrastructure pipelines using YAML.
• SQL Server, No-SQL databases like Cosmos and PostgreSQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), JAWS, NVDA, TFS, Git and SonarQube.
• Strategies utilizing unit, integration, pact, load, performance and system testing.
• Design application resilience and security using Polly, OAuth2 and Application / API Gateway.
• WPF, ADO.NET, LINQ, ORM, Entity Framework, and N Hibernate.
• Technical leadership and mentorship on teams.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus eight years of experience, a Master's degree plus six years of experience is acceptable.
