Lockheed Martin's SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the SOF GLSS team in Lexington, KY. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

design and complete modifications on various military ground and maritime platforms in support of our Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) Program in Lexington, KY.

While the primary focus of this position is on ground and maritime vehicles, support may also be required on other vehicles / aircraft platforms supported by the contract. Scope generally involves modification and component integration (primarily electrical and mechanical) into various platforms based on customer specifications.

This position will be responsible for :

Collaborating with lead engineers, project engineers, and systems and design teams to ensure systems meet the customer needs and the resulting products operate as intended.

• Development of component installation, assembly, and part designs and drawings for integration of equipment, including : mechanical systems, armor, radios, antennas, transmitters, power equipment, servers systems and components, etc.

Contribute to customer design reviews.

Document and process engineering releases and changes.

Ability to Work Remotely : Part-time Remote Telework : The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
