Abonmarche is seeking an Business Development Specialist in our Benton Harbor, MI office.
Job Summary :
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for supporting efforts to grow the firm by assisting in the preparation of proposals, grant writing, research, and contributing to the overall development of strategies to expand the firm's client base and market presence. The Business Development Specialist will work closely with the business development team, the grant administrator, and project managers.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in preparing proposals, bids, and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), ensuring compliance with client specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with technical staff to ensure the content of proposals accurately reflects the firm's capabilities and aligns with client needs.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and input for proposals, including pricing, project timelines, and scope of work.
- Complete grant applications for local, state, and federal funding sources.
- Administer awarded grants throughout close out of the grant.
- Work with internal staff to fulfill grant requirements such as conceptual plans, estimates, timelines, permits, technical details, and matching grant funds.
- Support the development of presentations needed for conferences.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other internal teams to understand the company's technical capabilities and past project experience.
- Assist with internal meetings and strategy sessions to discuss market trends, potential business opportunities, and ongoing pursuits.
- Help prepare reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market opportunities for senior management.
