Collaborate with academia and Sanford leaders to coordinate learning programs in accordance with organizational strategy and accreditation regulations.
Job Description
Responsible and accountable for coordination of student clinical learning and development programs. Collaborates with educational facilities, employees, and other community agencies to provide education to students and / or community members. Possess a working knowledge accreditation standards for programs specific to individual's area of responsibility. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for a comprehensive clinical learning program. Provide guidance and direction to administrators, other educators, academic partners, and / or health team members to successfully meet regulations. Flexibility as well as effective planning and organizational skills are required. Ability to develop strong working relationships, manage projects, facilitate change processes and effectively communicate to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrates successfully working with diverse groups of people in order to accomplish a common goal. Demonstrate flexibility as well as effective planning and organizational skills. Effective communication skills are essential : personal, verbal, written, and electronic. Ability to function in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-driven organization. Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office / Windows applications, analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). ). If applicant does not have a bachelor's degree, leadership may consider an alternative clinical education and six years equivalent work experience.
Currently holds a professional and unencumbered clinical license with the applicable state(s) administered examiners and awarded by a governmental licensing agency. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications based on program training needs of the department and population focus. Additional certifications may include, but not limited to, Emergency Nurses Association Membership in order to serve as a course director for Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association. Instructor Trainer to teach BLS may also be applicable and required to perform duties of the job. May be required to possess a valid driver's license.
