The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings. This is for a company in Queens, NY. It is a contract position and it will start immediately and last for 3 months with the opportunity to be converted to a permanent employee after that time period.
Responsibilities
Assist with file management
Draft legal documents
Prepare and process stipulations
Process medical, hospital and no fault authorizations
Assist with scheduling and calendaring
Any other administrative duties required of the role
E-filing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ year of legal experience
- Personal injury or medical malpractice experience preferred
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
- Ability to start immediately
- MUST have e-filing experience
