Kirton McConkie has an exciting employment opportunity for a legal assistant in our Boise, Idaho office. The ideal candidate will have a positive "can-do" attitude to meet the needs of high-level clients and attorneys.
Responsibilities
Format and construct various pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents
Manage correspondence between attorney and clients
Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to the acquisition, ownership and development of real property
Assist in the closing of real estate transactions including the review of legal descriptions and typical closing documents
Organize and maintain physical and electronic files
Oversight of individual client preferences, client accounts, and requests
Maintain attorney calendar
Provide proactive and advanced legal support
Other tasks as needed
Qualifications
Knowledge of court requirements and procedures
Knowledge of basic real estate transactions including sales, purchases and leasing preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to meet required deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and work calmly under pressure
High attention to detail, be proactive, and self-motivated
Ability to both follow instructions, and to think and work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional appearance and attitude
Two years of experience in a law firm preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
