The Musical Arts Professional
Is responsible for providing music experiences and education to clients, including, but not limited to, program planning and development, and documentation to day program clients, including but not limited to : Active Treatment, in accordance with the individual education and program plans, and when emergencies warrant. This position is also responsible for directing the TERI Band, composing music for the TERI Players film and live theater productions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and delivers adapted music lessons that addresses all levels of client ability.
- Oversees a group of up to 4 individuals
- Teaches a full range of instruments to individuals at all stages.
- Provides creative and client appropriate music activities to individual and groups of clients.
- Uses a range of teaching approaches to make lessons enjoyable, challenging, and productive. Structures lessons to reflect the needs of individuals / groups
- Participates in staff meetings and in-service trainings.
Accompany and rehearse with guests as needed. Lead / oversee rehearsals for musical programming and TERI Special Events, including instrumentalists and vocalists
Rate $23 - 25 / Hour
TERI participates in the CalGrows Program, offering you the opportunity to earn up to $6,000.00, in addition to your regular salary, while growing your career and developing your skills through free, online training courses.
TERI participates in the Direct Service Professional Training Stipend Program offering you the opportunity to earn up to $1,250.00, in addition to your regular salary, to help enhance your job skills after completing two free, 1-hour online courses.
