Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of the Media Arts Area of Study. The candidate's primary role will be teaching courses in the following areas : Digital Media Arts, Graphic Design, Animation and Time-Based Media, and Illustration and Sequential Art. This role requires active involvement in student recruitment, academic advising, and sustained contributions to the excellence of the Art Program and the broader Visual & Performing Arts Department.

Essential Functions
Supervise and instruct students in a classroom setting, specifically Media Arts-related courses for students who are planning to transfer to a university or directly enter the workforce, as well as community members seeking self-enrichment opportunities.
Develop written syllabi / course outlines and course materials.
Actively recruit and retain students for the Art Program.
Maintain office hours to assist and potentially advise students.
Minimum Qualifications
Occupational Experience
Occupational Experience can be demonstrated in a number of ways, including Adobe Certified Associate (ACA), other official training documentation, a professional art portfolio, a letter from a gallery, or other documentation via letter or copy of publication
Desired Qualifications
1. Three (3) or more years of documented professional experience, as outlined in the resume, using and teaching four (4) or more media arts-related software programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Animate, Premiere Pro, or Blender
2. Three (3) or more years experience teaching Media Arts-related courses at the collegiate level
3. Professional experience in a wide range of media disciplines, such as graphic design, web design, animation, 3D printing, or illustration
4. Demonstrated experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
5. Knowledge of the philosophy and principles of a Learning College
