The Jacksonville Public Library is actively seeking a Library Systems Administrator.
This position reports to the Assistant Director for Systems and Technology and is responsible for managing and maintaining library technologies that support the mission and work of the Jacksonville Public Library. The Library Systems Administrator will serve as the administrator for the Library’s integrated library system, computer time / print management system, other library systems, and their related components. This is a highly collaborative role requiring close interaction with teams across the library, the City of Jacksonville’s Information Technologies Division as well as customer and vendor contact.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and
- Four years of experience in systems analysis, implementation, and administration.
- Working knowledge of programming / scripting languages such as SQL, Perl, Python, JavaScript, UNIX shell scripting or like programs and languages.
- Library systems experience preferred.
- A Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited program preferred.
