Position : Library Media Assistant
Reports to : Principal and Media Specialist
Supervises : None
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Satisfy Every Student Succeeds Act requirements by :
- Completed at least 2 years of study (48 hrs.) at an institution of higher ed, or
- Hold an associate’s degree or higher, or
- Obtained a National Career Readiness Certificate through successful completion of the ACT, WorkKeys Assessment, or passed the Paraprofessional Assessment Test - Passing Score is 455, or
- Passed the Oklahoma General Education (OGET) Test.
- Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Previous training and / or skills in computer literacy are preferred.
- Demonstrate ability of effective use of oral and written communication.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal : To assist in maintaining a well organized library environment in which teachers and students may use available learning resources.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Employment Terms : Nine (9) month classified hourly contract
FLSA Qualification : Non-Exempt
