Library Media - Lead Teacher Description - Internal Candidates Only
Description :
Enrichment Programs is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Lead Teacher in K-12 Library Media. This role is pivotal in :
- shaping the direction of library media instruction in the district,
- fostering collaboration among educators, and
- driving continuous improvement in district-wide teaching practices.
In this role, you will have the chance to inspire creativity, collaborate with colleagues, and make a positive impact on the literacy development and information literacy skills of both students and library media staff members across IPS, ensuring that our practices support and honor students of diverse backgrounds.
Position Overview and Role Responsibilities :
As the Lead Teacher in K-12 Library Media, you will play a multifaceted role, combining your expertise in library media education with leadership responsibilities that extend beyond the classroom. Expected duties may include :
Your role will also include seeking innovative approaches to support the professional growth of district library media educators. Your work as K-12 Library Media Lead Teacher will help shape the library education experience for students at all grade levels.
